What This Call Is (And What It Isn’t)

This is a 30-minute, confidential conversation (usually on Zoom) where we explore:

  • what you’ve been feeling
  • what you hope to change
  • what kind of support feels safe
  • whether working together is a good fit

It is not therapy.
It is not a retelling of your trauma.
It is not a sales call.

It is simply two humans connecting, with full respect for your pace, your boundaries, and your nervous system.

Do I have to talk about my trauma on the call?

No. You can share as much or as little as you want.
Many people prefer not to talk about their trauma at all, and that’s absolutely fine.
The call is simply about understanding what you’re experiencing now, and whether my approach feels safe for you.

Will I have to relive painful memories?

Most people say they feel calmer, clearer, and more grounded, even if they were nervous beforehand.
You’ll leave with a better sense of what you need and what your next step could be.

What happens if we’re not a good fit?

If I feel someone else could support you better, I’ll let you know gently and honestly.
I can sometimes recommend alternative approaches or signpost you to suitable practitioners.
There’s never any pressure to continue.

Is this a therapy session?

No.
It’s a short, gentle conversation, not a therapeutic session.
Its purpose is to help you feel safe, informed and supported as you decide what’s right for you.

What happens if I get emotional on the call?

That’s completely okay.
Emotion is welcome.
You won’t be judged, hurried, or made to feel uncomfortable.
I’ll guide the conversation calmly and kindly, and help you to regulate there and then if that's what you want

Do you work online or in person?

I usually work on Zoom, but am open to working on another platform if that suits you better

How do I book sessions if I decide to continue?

If the call feels right for you, I’ll explain how to proceed, what to expect, and the options available.
There is never an expectation to sign up immediately.

What if I’m not ready?

Then you’re not ready, and that’s perfectly okay.
Sometimes the call itself is the step you needed.
You are welcome to return whenever it feels right to you

What Happen When I Schedule a Call?

You will receive a Zoom link by email. That puts your booking in my diary. If you want to use a different method of communication, then once you select a time, you can tell me then.
